19: US Travel Bans Came Too Late For NYC Metro Area, CDC Says, Echoing Cuomo Statements
After months of criticizing the federal government for issuing a travel ban for Chinese residents while COVID-19 cases were actually pouring into the New York metro area from Europe, Gov. Andrew Cuomo has been vindicated. Now, the government's main agency handling the crisis agrees with that assessment. 19: You May Have Had Virus And Not Known It, CDC Says
There have been around 2.5 million cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the United States since the pandemic began in mid-March. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced this week that essential workers who have been exposed to COVID-19 can go back to work if they are asymptomatic without having to wait out the originally mandated 14-day self-quarantine. Robert Redfield, the director of the CDC, said that employees such as healthcare and food supply workers will be permitted to return back to work under ce…

19: Should We All Wear Masks In Public? Health Experts, CDC To Revise Guidelines
Should all Americans wear face masks when leaving the house to help stop the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19)? President Donald Trump said this week that his administration intends to release new recommendations regarding the use of face masks after he initially said masks weren’t necessary to prevent the spread of the virus. Most members of Trump’s coronavirus task force have recommended wearing face coverings in public, and are now reportedly in the process of finalizing a formal draft of new recommendations. The Centers for Disease Control is also reviewing its policy after …
