Prisoner Charged With Violating Protective Order While Behind Bars In Hudson Valley A man behind bars in the region has been charged again for allegedly violating a protective order. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Friday, Oct. 19, at the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center in Poughkeepsie. According to Dutchess County Sheriff's Office Capt. John Watterson, Brandon Mima, age 21, of Beacon, is accused of violating an order of protection by contacting a protected party via telephone and video.  Watterson said he was charged with an aggravated family offense and two counts of criminal contempt. Prison Time: Hudson Valley Man Sentenced For Beating Former 'Intimate' Partner A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to criminal contempt for attacking a former "intimate" partner while under a protective order. Orange County resident Gregory Gonzalez, age 56, of Newburgh, was sentenced on Tuesday, Oct. 10 to two to four years in prison, the maximum permitted under the law. Area Woman Accused Of Violating Protective Order An area woman has been arrested for allegedly violating a stay-away order of protection and becoming involved in a family dispute. Ulster County resident Katherine Moreira, 40, of Saugerties, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 23, after Saugerties Police responded to a call for a domestic in progress at the Skyline Drive Apartments in the Town of Saugerties, said Chief Joseph Sinagra. Area Man Held For Violating Protective Order A Central Nyack man is being held without bail after allegedly violating a protective order. Anthony Gulifield, 53, was arrested around 9:15 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 28, in Stony Point, and charged with criminal contempt with a previous conviction, said Stony Point Police Lt. Daniel Hylas. Gulifield was arrested after police responded to a home on Thiells Road on a report of domestic violence, Hylas said.
