Drug Dealer From Region Sentenced In Hudson Valley Overdose Death
A drug dealer from the region has been sentenced to prison in connection with the overdose death of a man he sold drugs to. Sullivan County resident Ralph Mann, age 37, of Barryville, was sentenced on Thursday, Jan. 4 in Orange County Court to four years in prison followed by two years of post-rekease supervision. Hudson Valley 3D Printer Ghost Gun Maker Sentenced To Prison
A Hudson Valley man who admitted making ghost guns using a 3D printer has been sentenced to prison. Orange County resident Noah James McCagg, age 22, of Port Jervis, was sentenced on Monday, Oct. 30 to 10 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision in relation to his guilty plea of criminal possession of a weapon. Woman Rescued After 25-Foot Fall Down Embankment In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley woman who fell more than 25 feet down an embankment was rescued by police and firefighters. The incident took place in Orange County around 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 2 in Port Jervis near the Mid-Delaware Bridge and the Delaware River. Port Jervis Police officers responded to the area of Pike Street and Water Street near the bridge for a 911 report of a woman calling for help, the department said. A 56-year-old tractor-trailer driver who was confused by the height of a Hudson Valley railroad overpass was hit by a vehicle after he backed up and hit another car, and got out of his truck. The incident took place in Orange County around 7:45 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7 on East Main Street in Port Jervis. Police in the Hudson Valley are asking the public for help finding a missing teen who hasn't been seen in three weeks. Orange County resident Brittany Amber Hendershot, age 19, of Port Jervis, was reported missing by her mother on Thursday, June 23, said Chief Willian Worden, of the Port Jervis Police. Hendershot is described as being 5-foot-4, 125 pounds with a tattoo of a heart on her left wrist and a butterfly on her right ankle. Off-Duty Police Officer Saves Overdose Victim In Area
A man was saved from an overdose death by the quick actions of a police officer in the area. The incident took place on Friday, June 4, in Orange County. Port Jervis Police Officer Ryan Kievit, while off duty, was traveling in his personal vehicle on Route 6 and observed a pick-up truck stopped perpendicular in the roadway blocking both lanes of travel near a curve in the road, said Chief William Worden.
