6 Cows On Run After Tractor-Trailer Hauling Cattle Crashes In Hudson Valley
Six cows are on the loose tafter a trailer hauling cattle crashed, dumping 15 cows onto a busy highway. The incident occurred in Orange County at 6:15 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 20, at the intersection of I-84 and Route 6 in Deerpark. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2006 Kenworth carrying cows of various breeds was traveling west when the driver stated that his brakes failed. 34-Year-Old Killed In I-84 Crash In Hudson Valley
A 34-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash in the Hudson Valley after his 2006 Acura RSX ran off the roadway. The collision occurred in Orange County on a stretch of I-84 around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17 in the town of Greenville. New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel said Christopher Martini, from Matamoras, Pennsylvania, was killed when his vehicle ran off the roadway and he was ejected. Troopers begin life-saving measures. Port Jervis EMS pronounced Martini dead on the scene. The incident is still under investigation.

Fatal Crash: 34-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Hudson Valley
One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the region. It happened around 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 in Orange County on Park Avenue in the city of Port Jervis. A passenger vehicle traveling in a westerly direction crossed the center double-yellow line, according to Port Jervis Chief of Police William J. Worden. The car then struck a large flatbed tow truck operating in an easterly direction. Woman Rescued After 25-Foot Fall Down Embankment In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley woman who fell more than 25 feet down an embankment was rescued by police and firefighters. The incident took place in Orange County around 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 2 in Port Jervis near the Mid-Delaware Bridge and the Delaware River. Port Jervis Police officers responded to the area of Pike Street and Water Street near the bridge for a 911 report of a woman calling for help, the department said. A 53-year-old man was struck and killed by an SUV while walking on a Hudson Valley roadway. Troopers in Orange County responded to Neversink Drive in Deerpark at about 9:15 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, for a report that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, New York State Police said. Man Dies After Falling Attempting To Retrieve Downed Drone In Hudson Valley, Police Say
A man from the area was killed after reaching for a downed drone and falling more than 250 feet in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Orange County in Deerpark around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Woman Accused Of Intentionally Setting Fire To Kill Family Of Six In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley woman has been charged with six counts of attempted murder for allegedly intentionally setting multiple fires inside an apartment house with the intent of killing the occupants. Orange County resident Dawn Hulse, age 50, of Port Jervis, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 25 for the incident which took place earlier in the morning.
