Trio Nabbed In Hudson Valley With Illegal Gun After Dispute, Cops Say Three men were charged with alleged possession of an illegal handgun after a dispute in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Orange County in the village of Maybrook around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5. The gun was discovered after the town of Montgomery Police responded to Rakov Road in Maybrook for a reported dispute with a gun, said Chief John Hank of the Montgomery Police. Hudson Valley Man Commits Suicide As Officers Attempt To Stop Him, Police Say A Hudson Valley man shot himself in the head while state police worked to prevent him from doing so. The incident took place in Orange County around 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 12, in the town of Mount Hope. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, Orange County 911 dispatched the state police and the Town of Mount Hope Police for a reported potential suicide.  The caller said they heard a gun go off and believed that a man had shot himself, Nevel said.
