Northern Westchester Native Gavin MacLeod, ‘Mary Tyler Moore,’ ‘Love Boat’ Actor, Dies
Native NewYorker Gavin MacLeod, a popular actor on two of the biggest television hit shows of the 1970s and '80s, has died.
MacLeod, who was born in Northern Westchester County, in Mount Kisco, as Allan George See and raised in Pleasantville, was age 90.
He died at his home in Palm Desert, California, after having recent health issues, his family said.
MacLeod became nationally known for his role as news writer Murray Slaughter of Minneapolis TV station WJM on CBS-TV's "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" in the early to mid-1970s.

Police Officer In Northern Westchester Dies Suddenly At Age 25
A police officer who grew up and worked in Northern Westchester has died suddenly.
Nicholas D. Hansen 25, of Pleasantville, died on Thursday, Oct. 1 at his residence. He was an officer with the Town of Bedford Police Department.
He was born on June 15, 1995, to Dean and Vikki (nee Palmieri) Hansen in White Plains.
He was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, Class of 2013, and went on to receive his Associate's Degree.
He was an avid cook and a motorcycle enthusiast, according to his obituary.

IDs Released For Two Adults, Two Children Found Dead In Northern Westchester Home
The identities of the two adults and two children involved in an apparent triple murder-suicide in Northern Westchester have been released.
Police were called to perform a welfare check at 1:50 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 5 by the Pleasantville Union Free School District when two of those found dead, students in the district, did not show up for school.
