Nursing Home Employee Accused Of Attacking Disabled Resident In Northern Westchester A 51-year-old nursing home employee from the Hudson Valley faces charges after allegedly attacking a disabled resident in the Northern Westchester facility where she worked, police said. Dutchess County resident Jossette Thompson of Dover was arrested on Tuesday, June 11 in connection with the alleged attack, New York State Police announced on Wednesday, July 17.  According to authorities, while employed at The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Somers at 189 Route 100, Thompson physically attacked a disabled resident at the facility.  After her arrest,…

Teen Gang Assault: 5 Suspects Accused Of Repeatedly Beating 16-Year-Old In Hudson Valley Five Hudson Valley teens have been charged with allegedly repeatedly beating a 16-year-old causing bleeding from his mouth and nose. The incident took place in Ulster County near the entrance to the Berme Road Park in Ellenville. After the teen was able to break away and run, the five continued to follow him as he fled the park and beat him again at two other locations including at 244 Canal St., said Chief Phillip Mattracion, of the Ellenville Police. Man Assaults Patient At Rehab Center In Hudson Valley, Police Say A man faces assault charges after attacking a fellow patient at a Hudson Valley rehabilitation center, police said. The incident happened on Monday, March 13, around 11:10 a.m., when police responded to the Armes Acres treatment facility in Putnam County located in Carmel at 75 Seminary Hills Rd. for a reported physical assault, according to Carmel Police.  After arriving, officers determined from witness statements that a male patient allegedly assaulted another man who was a patient at the center.  The victim was then taken to Putnam Hospital Center for further treatment. …

Mother, Son Accused Of Assaulting Multiple People At Parking Lot In Capital District A 37-year-old woman and her teenage son are facing charges after allegedly assaulting several people at a parking lot in the region. The incident happened Sunday, Aug. 21, in Albany County at the Altamont Fairgrounds. State police were called just after 8 p.m. on the last day of the fair with reports of a physical altercation in the parking lot. Officers determined that Angelique Anaya, of Schenectady, and her 19-year-old son, Sacario Anaya, of Rotterdam, had exited a vehicle and assaulted multiple people during an altercation. The incident took place in the village of Mamaroneck around 6:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 1. Police say an 18-year-old male victim entered the village of Mamaroneck Police Department lobby with a stab wound to his chest, said Det. Lt. P.J. One Hospitalized After Stabbing At Mall In Hudson Valley A man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a victim during a fight at a mall in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place around 3:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 17, at the Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall, said the Town of Poughkeepsie Police. According to police, officers responded to the mall for a report of a fight in the mall with one person stabbed. Man Accused Of Hitting Woman In Eye In Front Of Two Children In Area, Police Say A 47-year-old man was arrested for allegedly hitting a victim in the eye while two children were in the room. Ulster County resident Jarmel M. Anderson-Fialkow, of Saugerties, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 24, after police responded to a report of a physical domestic dispute in the town of Saugerties, said Chief Joseph Sinagra. Following a police investigation, it was determined that Anderson-Fialkow had struck the victim in the left eye, causing injury, the chief said.
