CNN Anchor Announces Husband's Death In Heartbreaking Post
Alisyn Camerota, A CNN anchor from Fairfield County, CT and with New Jersey roots is mourning the loss of her husband, she announced in a heartbreaking post on social media.
Camerota, who was born in Shrewsbury, NJ said on Friday, Sept. 20 on Instagram that her husband, Tim Lewis, died on July 27, 2024 — two years after being diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Lewis' obituary on the Harding Funeral Home website says that he and Camerota live in Westport, CT.

A longtime educator in the Capital District is being remembered for her ability to connect with her students.
Joan Murray, of Albany, died Monday, Aug. 1, at the age of 68 following a “courageous battle” with pancreatic cancer, according to her obituary.
Born in Albany on Aug. 25, 1953, to John and Loretta, Murray graduated from Marylrose Academy in 1971 and D’Youville College in Buffalo in 1975, her obituary said. She earned her master’s degree from the College of St. Rose.

A longtime fire captain in Westchester died following a lengthy battle against pancreatic cancer.
The Eastchester Fire Department announced that Philip Pinto, Jr., a captain there for more than three decades, died on Saturday, Jan. 8 at the age of 54.
Pinto is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lisa, his children Lauren (Tim) and Philip, and his father Philip A. Pinto Sr. He is also survived by his siblings Anthony (Carol) Pinto and Diana (Thomas) DiCarlo, sister-in-law Pam Bruno, along with all of his nephews and nieces.

A longtime Hudson Valley mentor and beloved basketball coach has died following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Chris McLaurin, age 63, of Poughkeepsie, died on Monday, March 15, according to his family.
"A legend in his own right and our superhero. He made a huge impact on the people who he’s come in contact with. He will forever live on in our hearts," the family wrote in a statement on Facebook.
