Hudson Valley Man Sentenced In Child Sex Case A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to prison for the rape of a child under the age of 15. Orange County resident Alejandro Benitez, age 18, of New Windsor, was sentenced on Monday, March 25 to seven years in prison and 20 years of of post-release supervision, said Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler. According to the DA's Office, Benitez had pleaded guilty to second-degree rape and the sentence is the maximum available under the law. Man Found Dead Along Shore Of Hudson Valley Lake Police are investigating after a man was found dead along the shore of a Hudson Valley lake. The incident occurred in Orange County around 4 p.m., Friday, March 22 in the City of Newburgh. According to Mike Neppl, spokesman for the city of Newburgh Police, a fisherman reported finding an unidentified man dead along the shore of Crystal Lake. Responding officers found the man and removed his body with assistance from the New York State Police dive team.
