An international ring of identity thieves stole $1.3 million worth of vehicles and watercraft from dealerships in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania, using fraudulently obtained digital driver's licenses, authorities charged.
Nine defendants used the stolen identities of US citizens in Puerto Rico -- along with fake Puerto Rico driver’s licenses, Social Security cards, debit cards, and birth certificates -- to obtain the licenses from motor vehicle agencies in Jersey City and North Bergen, Acting New Jersey Attorney General Andrew J. Music Manager Sentenced For Stealing Thousands From Hudson Valley Rock Band
A music manager who took advantage of a Hudson Valley band to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars will spend time behind bars for stealing from his clients, authorities announced.
Richard Clair, Jr., age 52, a resident of Ohio and former manager of the Orange County-based band “The Racer,” has been sentenced to one year in jail for stealing $50,000 from them while falsely claiming that he was promoting an album and concert tour.

$1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In Hudson Valley
There was no winner in the $640 million Powerball jackpot for the drawing held on Saturday, Jan. 16, but 16 players won at least $1 million by matching all the white numbers, with one of the winning tickets sold in New York, in the Hudson Valley.
It was purchased in Rockland County at Gulf Mart in Pearl River on East Central Avenue, the New York Lottery announced Sunday morning, Jan. 17.
The other winning tickets were sold in Texas (three), California (two), Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
