Angry Rider Pulls Gun On Uber Driver At Capital Region Hotel, Police Say A dispute between an Uber driver and a passenger ended with the customer pulling a gun on the driver at a hotel in the region, authorities said. The Albany County incident happened at around 4:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at the Tru by Hilton in Colonie, located on Albany-Shaker Road, according to Colonie Police. Officers determined that Omjasisa Felder, age 52, of Troy, got into a confrontation with the Uber driver over the details of a ride. Doggie Paddle: NY Army Veteran Kayaking, Biking 4K Miles Fundraising For Service Dogs An Army veteran from New York is going the distance - 4,000 miles to be exact - to help his fellow veterans in need of service dogs. Saratoga County native Jimmy Thomas, age 61, of Ballston Spa, is currently kayaking from the town of Glenville all the way to Key West, Florida. He then plans to bicycle back to upstate New York. 21-Year-Old Charged In Connection To Shots-Fired Incident On Roadway In Region A 21-year-old has been charged following an incident in which shots were allegedly fired on a roadway in the region. The incident happened around 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27 in Rockland County.  That's when Orangetown Police Department officers responded to the area of 49 West Central Ave. in Pearl River.
