The incident occurred in Pike County in Shohola, Pennsylvania, around 12:45 p.m., Sunday, July 7, near Sullivan and Orange counties in New York. Alert Issued For Woman, 32, Who's Gone Missing In Barryville A 32-year-old woman has gone missing in the region and authorities are asking the public's help in locating her. New York State Police in Sullivan County from Troop F in Liberty are attempting to locate Jennifer E. Bruning, who was last seen in the hamlet of Barryville, adding that her welfare is currently a concern.  Bruning has ties to Orange County (Port Jervis and Newburgh).  Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact NYSP Liberty at 845-344-5300. Man Struck, Killed By Amtrak Train In Capital Region A man has died after being struck by an Amtrak train in the region. The Rensselaer County incident happened in the town of Schodack, along River Road, just before 9 a.m. Friday, July 5. New York State Police an Amtrak train stopped and called emergency services after striking a pedestrian. Authorities located the man and pronounced him dead at the scene a short time later. Police are withholding his identity until his family has been notified. The railroad tracks were closed in both directions for nearly 3 ½ hours while crews investigated. The railway has since reopened.

Capital Region Woman Accused Of Stalking A resident from the region has been accused of stalking. New York State Police in Columbia County from the Livingston barracks say an investigation determined Tara Tomlin, age 29, of Elizaville, contacted the past and current employer of the victim to make false allegations of drug use and inappropriate behavior. On Tuesday, June 25, Tomlin was charged with: Aggravated harassment in the second degree,  Stalking in the fourth degree. Tomlin was arraigned before the city of Hudson Court and released on her own recognizance to reappear on Tuesday, July 2.

'Total Shock': 34-Year-Old Air Force Veteran Killed In Capital Region Crash Had 'Heart Of Gold' Tributes are pouring in for a beloved Air Force veteran following his untimely death in the region. Albany County resident Michael Furch, age 34, of Guilderland, died following a single-vehicle crash on I-787 in Albany on Thursday, June 20. New York State Police said Furch was operating a motorcycle when he lost control and struck a concrete barrier while exiting I-787 on the flyover ramp to I-90.
