4 Residents, 2 Dogs Displaced After House Fire Breaks Out In Hudson Valley
Two adults, two children, and a pair of dogs have been displaced after an overnight house fire broke out in the Hudson Valley. The blaze broke out in Rockland County at around 1:50 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 24 in Bardonia. A first-arriving Clarkstown Police Department officer observed flames coming from the rear of the home on Barry Lane, in the area of the soffits. Roads Temporarily Closed In Hudson Valley After Construction Crew Ruptures Propane Tank
Construction workers in the Hudson Valley got a scare on the job when they accidentally ruptured a propane tank near a Rockland County school, leading to temporary road closures. In New City, the eastbound lanes of Parrot Road between Germonds Road and the entrance of the Felix Festa Middle School in West Nyack were closed on Tuesday, April 5 when the tank was struck in a lot under construction. Investigation Underway After Hudson Valley Home Catches Fire
An investigation is underway after a house in the Hudson Valley caught fire. It happened in Rockland County, on Thornwood Drive in New City at about 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 10, according to the Clarkstown Police Department. The residents who were in the home at the time were all able to get outside safely, according to the Clarkstown Police Department. When responders arrived, they saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the single-family home, and heard "what sounded like small arms ammunition going off inside the home," authorities said. House Fire Breaks Out In Rockland
A fire destroyed an extension being added to a Rockland County home over the garage area and moved to parts of the main residence. The blaze began around 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, at the home at 24 Woodside Drive in New City. The New City Fire Department, along with several other fire companies worked to extinguish the fire, said the Clarkstown Police. No injuries were reported, but the home did receive major damage.

Car Crashes Into Post In Front Of Popular Bagel Shop In Area
Bagel lovers received a little more than just cream cheese when a car hit the front of the popular bagel shop in the area. The incident happened in Rockland County at around 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, at John's Famous Bagels, at 305 S Little Tor Rd in New City, said the Clarkstown Police. According to police, the driver of a vehicle drove over a curb and into a post causing it to strike another vehicle. The New City Fire Department and the building department were on the scene and deemed the building safe to resume business. No injuries were reported.

Hiker Suffers Head Trauma After Falling Off Cliff At High Tor State Park
A 22-year-old man who suffered head trauma and other injuries after falling off of a cliff face at High Tor State Park in Rockland was saved by first responders. State park police received the call for help around 10 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 3, alerting them to fall in the park in New City, said Dan Keefe, a spokesman for the state parks. Once on the scene, rescuers learned that the Thiells man was hiking on the white trail off of the Long Path when he lost his footing and fell approximately 50-60 feet off a cliff face onto a rocky slope suffering head injuries and other minor injuries, Keefe sai…
