A traffic stop on I-87 in Albany led to the arrest of a Walden man for possession of felony-weight narcotics, the New York State Police reported.
According to Trooper Stephanie O'Neil, the incident occurred on Monday, Jan. 13, around 10:2o a.m., when troopers stopped a vehicle for multiple violations.

A Poughkeepsie man wanted in connection with a significant drug bust in East Fishkill has been arrested following a community tip, authorities announced.
Michael S. Birney, 32, was taken into custody on Sunday, Jan. 5, after Drug Task Force Agents located him near Hooker Avenue and South Hamilton Street. Birney was arrested without incident, according to the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office.

Three men were charged with various drug possession charges following a warrants raid on an inn in the region.
The warrants search occurred in Sullivan County in Monticello at the Monticello Inn around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
The first search warrant was executed in room 218 where deputies arrested Jacob McCoy, aka “Scar”, age 50, of the Bronx.
