Man, Woman Killed In Two-Vehicle Westchester Crash A man and woman were killed in a two-vehicle crash overnight in Westchester. It happened at around 11:50 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11 in Yonkers at the intersection of Yonkers Avenue at Walnut Street. Westchester Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Taconic Parkway Crash A Westchester man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on a stretch of the Taconic State Parkway  in Putnam County. It happened on Monday, Aug. 17 at around 1:30 p.m. in the town of Kent. Robert J. Costabile, 69, of Valhalla, was operating a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle on the northbound side near Hortontown Hill Road when, for unknown reasons, was unable to negotiate a curve and lost control before leaving the roadway, state police said. Costabile succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. This investigation remains ongoing.

Motorcyclist Seriously Injured After Crashing Into Embankment In Town Of Poughkeepsie A late-night motorcycle crash left an area man with serious injuries after he drove into a rock embankment. A 29-year-old Ulster County resident was riding on Van Wagner Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie at approximately 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12, when he failed to negotiate a turn on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, forcing him off the road and into the embankment on the side of the road. It happened in Orange County on Sunday, Aug. 9 at approximately 5:15 p.m. in the town of Tuxedo. An investigation revealed that three motorcycles were traveling on Kanawauke Road when one of the motorcycles, a 2009 Suzuki, operated by the victim, Mohammed Kamil, was unable to negotiate a curve and struck one of the motorcycles in the group, a 2008 Harley Davidson, state police said.
