1-Year-Old Dies After Allegedly Being Left In Hot Car In Hudson Valley
A 1-year-old girl died after allegedly being left in a hot car for several hours. The incident took place in Rockland County on Tuesday, May 9 around 4:30 p.m., in Spring Valley. According to Det. Philip Fantasia of the Spring Valley Police, officers responded to a home on Ridge Avenue on a report of a deceased child. When officers arrived on the scene, they learned that a 1-year-old girl had been left in the family vehicle unattended for several hours and died, Fantasia said. Man Found Dead At Park In Area, Police Say
The body of a man was found at a park in the Hudson Valley by a passerby. The body was discovered around 4 a.m., Thursday, June 17, in Rockland County, at Spring Valley’s Memorial Park. The person who found the body called 911 and officers responded to the park where a bystander was attempting to perform CPR, said Spring Valley PD Detective Matt Galli. Police officers took over the attempt to save the man's life, but he was declared dead at the park, Galli said. Body Recovered From Lake ID'd As Missing Area Man, Police Say
A photo of a dead body floating in a body of water on social media led the police to find a man dead in an area lake. The body was discovered around 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, when the City of Newburgh Police Department was alerted of a photograph being shared on social media depicting a body floating in a body of water, said Det. Lt. Joseph Burns. With the assistance of the City of Newburgh Fire Department, the body of an elderly male was recovered from Muchattoes Lake near the Lake Drive apartment complex, Burns said.
