Woman Robbed During Street Fair In Hudson Valley Police are investigating after a vendor at a Hudson Valley street fair said her wallet was stolen while she was busy working with customers. The incident took place in Rockland County on Sunday, July 10 at the Nyack Street Fair on Main Street and Broadway. According to Orangetown Police, two men on skateboards can be seen on surveillance taking the wallet and skating off. The incident happened around 11:10 a.m. Thursday, June 24 in Rockland County. A 1995 Toyota Tercel, operated by Shan Willson, age 77, of Manhattan, was traveling in Nyack southbound on South Highland Avenue between Main Street and Depew Avenue when the vehicle struck the girl, a resident of Nyack, who was crossing South Highland Avenue, Orangetown Police said.  The girl was transported to Nyack Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Detectives from the Orangetown Police Department are investigating reports of vandalism at the installation, which was reported on Saturday, June 20. Police said that on Friday, June 19, the artwork that had the words “Black Lives Matter,” was created by the Nyack Center and the center's teen council on Main Street in Nyack. Man Nabbed For DWI At Twice Legal Limit Following Crash In Area, Police Say A 37-year-old man was arrested for allegedly driving at more than twice the legal limit following a traffic stop by Orangetown Police. Kris Swenson, of Pomona, was arrested around 3:21 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 29, after police responded to a report of a crash on Main Street in the Village of Nyack, said Orangetown Police Sgt. Joseph Sullivan. When officers arrived on the scene they found that a black Toyota Corolla appeared to have struck a park and unoccupied red Honda Accord, Sullivan said.
