ATV Mob Causes Havoc On Hudson Valley Roadway
State Police are investigating a mob of ATVs and motorcycles who took over a roadway in the region, injuring one and threatening a trooper. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 4:10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, on Route 9D in Wappingers Falls. According to State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, troopers responded to a report of 30 to 40 motorcycles and off-highway vehicles operating "recklessly" in the roadway and on sidewalks. First In NY: 'Sensory Inclusive' Tools Now Standard Equipment For This Police Department
A police department on Long Island is the first in New York to become certified sensory inclusive. The Village of Rockville Centre Police Department was certified by KultureCity, a nonprofit organization that typically trains venue staff to accommodate people with sensory needs, like those with autism. Body Of Man Who Jumped From Hudson Valley Bridge Recovered
The body of a man who jumped from a bridge in the region has been recovered. The incident occurred on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge on Saturday, Aug. 3.
