Ulster County Unveils New EV Portable Charging Station In Kingston
A Hudson Valley government has unveiled the county's latest vehicle charging station, which is entirely off the grid and can be used in remote areas. The new portable charging facility is currently stationed at the Ulster County Office Complex on Ulster Avenue in Kingston. Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger said on Tuesday, Sept. 24, the station is powered entirely by solar energy and equipped with solar battery storage to help during power outages. Work Begins On Apartments In Ulster, Kingston, Saugerties
Construction has begun to rehabilitate 212 affordable apartments in three cities and towns in the Hudson Valley. According to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, all three properties are in Ulster County in the cities of Kingston and Saugerties and the town of Ulster. County Finance Commissioner In Hudson Valley Accused Of Stealing Funds
An investigation is underway after a former commissioner of finance in the Hudson Valley was accused of allegedly stealing funds from a recreation association he oversaw. Ulster County Commissioner of Finance Burt Gulnick, who also served as treasurer of the Hurley Recreation Association, was removed immediately, according to association officials.
