A gun-wielding Westchester man out on bail for a previous weapons charge was taken into police custody after allegedly menacing and making threats toward a neighbor with a handgun, authorities announced.

A Northern Westchester man has been found guilty of one of two serious charges in connection with a wrong-way, head-on crash that left two people dead.
Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah announced on Tuesday, Feb. 8, that after a four-week-long bench trial, Somers resident Jaime Paucar was found guilty for a crash he caused while intoxicated, which resulted in the death of two Ardsley residents.

But the main threat for the next storm taking aim on the region looks like it could be ice, leading to the possibility of potentially major power outages from damage to power lines and trees as well as treacherous travel.

Woman Stopped In Westchester Following Brief Police Pursuit Charged With DWI
New York State Police arrested a woman in Westchester following a brief pursuit after she was stopped for multiple traffic violations and alleged DWI.
Idalisa Roman, 40, of the Bronx, was arrested around 12:10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 2, after state police attempted to stop her vehicle on I-287 in the town of Harrison, said the state police.
Roman failed to comply, and a brief pursuit ensued. Once the vehicle stopped, it was determined that the driver, Roman was intoxicated, state police said.

After having its June opening delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the latest Wegmans supermarket has now set a new grand opening date.
