Bomb Threat Forces Evacuation Of Hudson Valley Mall
A popular mall in the area was evacuated after a bomb threat. The incident happened on Friday, May 7 at the Hudson Valley Mall, located in Ulster County, in Kingston. The threat was called into Dick’s Sporting Good adjacent to the Ulster County COVID-19 vaccination POD site at the mall, according to authorities. Attempted Rape Conviction Of Area Man Caught In An Online Sting Upheld By Courts
The attempted rape conviction of a Hudson Valley man has been upheld by the courts during an appeal of his 2019 guilty verdict during a jury trial. The Ulster County Appellate Division affirmed the conviction last year of Orange County resident Travis Sammeth, age 36, of Newburgh, who was found guilty of attempted rape in a case connected with a sting operation of online predators, said the Ulster County District Attorney David J. Psychological Thriller Filmed In Hudson Valley Debuts On Amazon Prime
Hudson Valley residents may recognize some set locations in a newly debuting Amazon Prime psychological thriller that was filmed in the region. Walden native Brian DiLorenzo, first-time director, and writer of “Myth,” a film released on Amazon Prime last week, highlights several spots in Orange, Putnam and Ulster counties which were filmed years ago, including several restaurants and homes in the area.
