College Student In Hudson Valley Killed In Hit-Run Crash Near Campus
A college student was killed in and hit-and-run crash near campus in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 in Ulster County outside SUNY New Paltz where the victim, Ray Rattray, age 22, was a student. The Ulster County Sheriff's Office said the crash occurred on Route 208 in the town of New Paltz between the area of Hawk Drive and Cross Creek Road. When deputies arrived, they located Rattray, a New York City resident, in a wooded area approximately 20 feet from the road. Person Killed In Hit-Run Crash Near Firehouse In Hudson Valley
An investigation is underway after a person was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Hudson Valley. It happened in Rockland County around 6:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26 in the village of Pomona on Thiells Mt. Ivy Road (Route 47) in the area of the Hillcrest Firehouse. Neither the identity nor gender of the victim has been released. The Haverstraw Police Department is asking for the public's help, saying anyone who may have witnessed or has any information is requested to contact its Detective Bureau at 845-942-3730. Suspect Nabbed After Woman Killed In Hit-Run Crash At Northern Westchester Shopping Center
A suspect has been apprehended after a woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash at a busy shopping center in Northern Westchester. The crash happened around 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 in the town of Lewisboro at the Orchard Square Shopping Center at the intersection of routes 35 and 121 in the hamlet of Cross River. The victim, Randi J. Blattberg, age 65, of Mount Vernon, was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco with life-threatening injuries, New York State Police said. Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash on a roadway in the region. It happened around 12:45 a.m. Saturday, July 9 in Orange County on Route 52 in the town of Montgomery, between Belair Road and Harts Lane. An initial investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling westbound when it struck a battery powered bicycle (e-bike) that was being operated by Jaleek Johnson, age 21, from Walden in Orange County, state police said. Police Release Name Of State Trooper Injured In Hit-Run Westchester Crash
New York State Police have released the name of a trooper injured in a hit-and-run crash. Trooper Jean B. Cime, a seven-year veteran, was injured when he was struck just before 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28 by a white van that failed to move over while he was outside of his patrol car during a traffic stop in New Rochelle, said Trooper Tara McCormick. According to McCormick, Cime was conducting a vehicle and traffic stop on I-95 southbound. A suspect has been apprehended after a 40-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Northern Westchester. Demetrios Doupis, of Yorktown, was found on Route 6 in Yorktown around 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 10 after police received a call regarding a person lying in the roadway.
