Rockland DA Serves Search Warrant At Hi-Tor Animal Shelter
The Rockland County District Attorney's office has executed a search warrant at Hi-Tor Animal Shelter. The warrant search began around 8 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the shelter located in Pomona. Officers could be seen going in and out of the shelter trailer throughout the morning but officials with the Rockland County DA's office have not released any information. Dog Attacks Toddler, Seriously Injures Good Samaritan In Area
A 20-year-old man on his way to court in a cab has been identified as the owner of a pit bull that attacked a 1-year-old child and then seriously injured a Good Samaritan. Daveaun Whittle, of Haverstraw, was in a cab on the way to court on Jan. 7, when, thinking he might be sent to jail, let the dog loose in Spring Valley hoping it would find a home, said Spring Valley Police Officer Matthew Galli. Dog Attacks Infant, Bites Good Samaritan In Area, Police Say
A dog is being held in quarantine at an animal shelter after allegedly attacking a 1-year-old infant and then biting good Samaritans who attempted to intervene. The attack took place around 4 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7, on Hoyt Street in Spring Valley, said Officer Matthew Galli. When officers arrived, they found a chaotic scene with at least two people being injured by the animal, Galli said.
