2-Year-Old Struck, Killed By SUV In Hudson Valley An investigation is underway after a 2-year-old girl was struck and killed by a van in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 3:10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, on Calvert Drive in the village of Kaser in Ramapo. According to Ramapo Police Lt. Michael Gannon, responding officers found the child was struck by a 2014 Honda Odyssey and had sustained life-threatening injuries.  The girl was transported to Nyack Hospital by Hatzolah Ambulance and later died from her injuries, Gannon said. Head-On Crash Involving School Bus In Region Injures 1 One person was injured when a car allegedly swerved into the path of a school bus in the region, hitting it head-on. The crash occurred in Sullivan County around 3 p.m., Monday, Feb. 5 in the town of Thompson in the vicinity of 907 Old Liberty Road. Dog Attacks Infant, Bites Good Samaritan In Area, Police Say A dog is being held in quarantine at an animal shelter after allegedly attacking a 1-year-old infant and then biting good Samaritans who attempted to intervene. The attack took place around 4 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7, on Hoyt Street in Spring Valley, said Officer Matthew Galli. When officers arrived, they found a chaotic scene with at least two people being injured by the animal, Galli said. Rockland Man Stabbed While Walking To Area Synagogue A man walking to an area synagogue was stabbed more than once by at least one person. The incident took place around 5:49 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20, when the Ramapo Police responded to Howard Drive, in Monsey, for what they thought was a pedestrian struck by a vehicle, Ramapo Police said.
