'Incredibly Grateful': Republican Marc Molinaro Prevails In NY's 19th District Race
In another win for Republicans, Marc Molinaro has prevailed over Democrat Josh Riley in New York’s 19th Congressional District, NBC News projects.
Molinaro, the Dutchess County executive, was leading Riley 51.1 to 48.9 percent with 99 percent of the vote counted as of Wednesday evening, Nov. 9.

Gas Prices Hit New Record High In New York Amid Surge In Oil Costs
There is no relief in sight for motorists in New York as prices at the pump continue to rise to new record highs, according to AAA.
As of Monday, May 16, AAA was reporting that the average price per gallon has risen to $4.76 in New York, setting another new record after peaking at $4.52 a week prior, the previous high.
Diesel gas is also on the rise, up to $6.50 as of Sunday, May 15, also a new record in New York.
According to AAA, there is not expected to be any relief for drivers with Memorial Day and the busy summer driving season fast approaching.

Gas Prices In New York Reach Record High, AAA Says
Gas prices in New York have reached a new record high as the country deals with rising oil prices and nationwide inflation amid tensions overseas.
On Monday, May 9, AAA was reporting that the average price per regular gallon of gas in New York has hit $4.52, the highest recorded average price in history.
Likewise, truck drivers are also seeking relief at the pump, as the price of diesel fuel price also set a record on May 9 when it hit $6.38 per gallon.
In New York, the price per gallon is up 17 cents from a week ago, 28 cents from a month ago, and $1.51 from May 9, 2021.

As the start of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week nears, organizers have announced which eateries are set to participate.
Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is scheduled to take place from Monday, March 21, through Sunday, April 3, according to the Valley Table.
Participating eateries are located in the following counties: Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Ulster, Orange, Sullivan, Dutchess, and Greene.
The restaurants taking part will offer three-course, prix-fixe lunches for $29.95 and dinners for $39.95, Valley Table reported.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect for much of the region.
It lasts until 10 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, and covers Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, Sullivan, Greene, Columbia counties in New York, Fairfield, Hartford, Litchfield, New Haven, Tolland, New London, and Middlesex counties in Connecticut, and all of Massachusetts except Cape Cod, and northeast Pennsylvania. Tornado Watch Issued For Dutchess, Ulster
As Tropical Storm Isaias hits the region, a Tornado Watch has now been issued for many counties north of I-84, including Dutchess and Ulster.
The watch is in effect until 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4.
An earlier Tornado Watch that included Putnam, Orange, Rockland and Westchester counties, expires at 4 p.m.
In addition to Dutchess and Ulster, the new Tornado Watch includes Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Warren and Washington. The watch does not include Sullivan County.
