IDs Released For Mother, Son Killed In Westchester Fire The identities have been released of two people killed in an apartment fire in Westchester. The blaze broke out at around 6:40 a.m. Friday, June 21 in New Rochelle. After knocking down the fire, crews performed search of apartment and found two victims, one in each bedroom, both unresponsive, according New Rochelle Fire Commissioner Andrew J. Sandor. Fatal Crash: Vehicle Hits Tree, Goes Up In Flames On Busy Hudson Valley Highway A person was killed in a fiery crash on a busy Hudson Valley highway, police announced.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Monday, May 6, around 7:15 p.m., when a vehicle traveling on I-84 in Kent left the roadway and struck a tree, according to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. After hitting the tree, the vehicle went up in flames, Hicks said. The driver, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash has not been released. Woman Found Stabbed Outside Building Where Fire Broke Out In Area An Orange County woman was found stabbed outside a building that was on fire. The woman was found around 12:30 a.m., Thursday, March 26, when City of Newburgh police responded to 24 Dubois St., for a report of a fire inside a building where a person had been stabbed, said Det. Lt. Joseph Burns. When officers arrived on the scene, they found smoke inside a second-floor hallway and moved from the area to allow firefighters to handle the blaze, Burns said.
