9 Students, 1 Adult Injured In Hudson Valley School Bus Crash
Nine students and an adult were injured during a two-vehicle crash involving a school bus in the region. The crash occurred in Orange County around 9 a.m., Monday, Oct. 28, at the intersection of Route 52 and Route 17 in the town of Crawford. According to Crawford Police Chief Dominick Blasko, a 2021 Dodge truck was traveling eastbound in the eastbound lane of Route 52 when it collided with a 2024 First Student school bus. 23-Year-Old Passenger Killed In Hudson Valley Crash
A Hudson Valley man who was a passenger in an Infiniti sedan was killed in a single-vehicle crash. The collision occurred in Dutchess County, in the town of Wappinger, at about 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, on All Angels Hill Road near Dugan Lane. According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2007 Infiniti sedan with five occupants was traveling southbound on All Angels Hill Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle. 21-Year-Old Hudson Valley Man Killed In Crash
This story has been updated. A 21-year-old man was killed during a two-car crash after allegedly losing control of his vehicle in the region. The crash occurred in Ulster County around 3:55 p.m., Saturday, March 9 in the town of Ulster on Route 209 south of Sawkill Road. According to Ulster Police Chief Kyle Berardi, an investigation found that Noah Ortman, age 21, of Ulster, was driving a 1997 Ford Mustang southbound when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the grass median into the northbound lane of Route 209, and was struck by a 2022 Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 24-year-old man. …

Hudson Valley Man Charged With Stealing Gas After Fleeing Cops, Crashing
A man was charged with allegedly stealing gas and then fleeing from police and crashing his vehicle in the region. The incident took place in Ulster County around 8:40 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 9 in the town of Hurly. According to Sgt. Collin Reynolds of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, William Williams, age 65, of Highland, was arrested after deputies attempted to stop him and he sped away at a high rate of speed before crashing into a wooded area in the town of Rosendale. One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the region. It took place in Dutchess County in the town of Poughkeepsie around 5:40 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19 on Violet Avenue at the intersection with Spring Street. According to Lt. A Northern Westchester high school senior is working the front lines in the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Patrick Baia, who attends Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers, is also working as an EMT in New York City and Yonkers as a member of Empress Emergency Medical Services.
