Police in Albany were called about a shooting in the city’s Pine Hills neighborhood, on Myrtle Avenue near Quail Street, at around 12:15 a.m. Friday, July 5. When officers arrived, they found evidence of gunfire in the home’s backyard and in the street that occurred during a large gathering, police said. The incident happened just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, in Saratoga County on Route 146 near the intersection of Route 9 in Clifton Park.  New York State Police say an investigation determined Christopher E. It happened around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 29 in Rockland County. That's when the bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in the village of Pomona at the intersection of High Mountain Road and Overlook Road. Lost Hikers In State Forest In Mamakating Rescued By Ranger Forest Rangers rescued five hikers lost and suffering from heat exhaustion and lack of water on a trailhead at a state forest in the region. The incident occurred in Sullivan County at Roosa Gap State Forest in the town of Mamakating around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 22. Car Goes Up In Flames On Busy Northern Westchester Roadway Smoke was seen on a busy main route in Northern Westchester when a vehicle went up in flames.  The incident happened on Saturday, May 11 around 1:40 p.m., when a car caught on fire on Route 9 southbound in Croton-on-Hudson just south of the pedestrian bridge.  According to the village's fire department, the blaze began in the vehicle's engine compartment and was quickly put out.
