Six years after a Hudson Valley 19-year-old was gunned downed and killed, police are still investigating and asking the public for help, Nicholas Jasiel, of Nanuet, was shot and killed as a result of a confrontation that took place on Dwight Avenue in Hillcrest on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019. Police Ask Public's Help In Search For Suspect After Fatal Shooting Of Area Teen
Police are asking the public for help in finding the person or people responsible for the shooting death of a teen in the area. Nicholas Jasiel, 19, from Nanuet, was shot and killed around 9 p.m., on Dec. 7, 2019, following an unknown confrontation that took place on Dwight Avenue in Hillcrest, said the Ramapo Police. Detectives are actively following up on several leads. One Hospitalized After Fire Breaks Out In Area Home
A Rockland County resident was hospitalized after a fire broke out in an area garage, prompting an emergency response. First responders from the Ramapo Police Department and Hillcrest Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire on Dwight Avenue in Hillcrest at approximately 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19. According to officials, firefighters were able to contain the fire to just the attached garage, and it was quickly extinguished by first responders. A 19-year-old who was shot over the weekend in Rockland has died from his injuries. The incident took place around 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, when Ramapo Police responded to a shooting at the intersection of Dwight Avenue and Mallory Road, in Hillcrest, said the Ramapo Police.
