Hudson Valley Juvenile Nabbed For Making 'Non-Specific' School Threat, Police Say
A juvenile was charged with allegedly making a threat of mass harm after the FBI alerted the New York State Police of a school threat made in the region on TikTok. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in Wappinger. Trooper AJ Hicks said an investigation determined the "non-specific threat originated from the town of Wappinger. Investigators located and arrested the minor soon after, Hicks said. He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Dutchess County Family Court. This is a developing story. 4 Apprehended After Gunfire Breaks Out In Broad Daylight Near City Hall In Hudson Valley
Four suspects have been apprehended after gunfire broke out in broad daylight near a city hall in the region. The incident happened just before 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21 in Poughkeepsie in the area of 55 Washington St. Officers responded to a report of multiple shots fired opposite Poughkeepsie City Hall. One day after an 11-year-old girl was arrested for making online threats against two area schools, another student has been arrested in a separate incident. An area man has been arrested for allegedly installing a GPS device in order to eavesdrop and spy on a person who has an order of protection against him. Dutchess County resident Brett M. Marinaccio, 33, of Hopewell Junction, was arrested on Monday, Jan. 4, by New York State Police, said Trooper AJ Hicks. 16-Year-Old Accused Of Firing Gun At Vehicle In Area
A 16-year-old boy has been charged for firing a gun at a vehicle in the area. The incident happened in the area near 29 North Hamilton Street in the City of Poughkeepsie late Friday morning, Aug. 7.
