Acting New York Mets GM Placed On Administrative Leave Following Bust In Westchester
Zack Scott, the acting general manager of the New York Mets had his driving privileges revoked after being arraigned for allegedly driving while intoxicated when he was found asleep behind the wheel in the Hudson Valley.
Scott, age 44, of Rye, was charged in White Plains City Court with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, while being cited for disobeying a traffic control device, illegally stopping on a highway, and failure to notify the DMV of an address change, all infractions.

Hudson Valley Man Nabbed For Felony DWI Following Traffic Stop, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man has been arrested for alleged felony driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content (BAC) more than twice the legal limit.
Orange County resident Hosmar J. Garcia Giron, age 23, was arrested on Monday, Aug. 23 during a traffic stop on I-87 in the town of Cornwall.
During the stop, Giron, of Newburgh, was found to be allegedly intoxicated. He was taken into custody and processed at police headquarters, where his BAC was determined to be .18 percent, or more than twice the legal limit of .08 percent, said Trooper Tara McCormick.

A dramatic video shows the moment an alleged drunk driver hits a woman and her baby before plowing into a Westchester barbershop and the intense rescue by two hero cops that followed.
The incident took place around 8:30 a.m., Friday, July 23, at 124 Lake Ave., in Yonkers, when David Poncurak, age 43, was driving north on Morningside Avenue when he turned into the westbound lane of Lake Avenue, Yonkers Police Sergeant Frank DiDomizio said.

A local woman who was arrested for a hit-and-run crash that killed a man outside a lakefront home in the area was arrested two months ago for DWI and was due to have her license suspended in several days.
Maggie DePerna, age 37, of Mahopac was charged on Saturday, June 26, with vehicular manslaughter, and two counts of DWI (she was reportedly driving drunk when arrested) in the hit-and-run death in Mahopac of James Crecco, of Carmel, on Friday, June 25, said the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

Man Arrested For Aggravated DWI After Crashing Into Tree In Area
A man was arrested for aggravated DWI after crashing his vehicle in a wooded area.
Martin Cody, 62, of Palenville, in Greene County, was arrested in Ulster County on Friday, Nov. 20 by Saugerties Police following the crash on SR 32A, said Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra.
Cody was arrested after Saugerties Police responded to a reported vehicle crash, said Sinagra.
According to police, Cody failed to negotiate a bend in the roadway, proceeding east across the shoulder of the roadway and into a wooded area, striking a tree head on.

Man Found Drunk In Vehicle Taken From Area Business Without Permission, Police Say
A man who took a car from a business without permission was found drunk and sleeping behind the wheel, police said.
Officers in Ulster County responded to the Town of Saugerties Highway Department on Churchland Road at approximately midnight on Sunday, July 5, where there were reports of an intoxicated man asleep in a car.
At the scene, police said that the officers found Saugerties resident Mark Civitarese, 22, in the driver’s seat of a running car, sleeping.
