Alert Issued For 16-Year-Old Capital Region Girl Missing 3 Days
Police are asking for help in locating a 16-year-old girl from the region who has been missing for several days. Greene County resident DeAnna Cilento was last seen at a home in Prattsville on Sunday, June 30, according to sheriff’s officials. Investigators said Cilento may have traveled to Delaware County or Brooklyn. She is 5-foot-10 and around 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. NJ Mom Killed By Falling Tree While Camping With Family In Furious Upstate NY Storm
A New Jersey woman was killed in upstate New York over the weekend when a tree fell on her camper during fierce thunderstorms that ripped through the region, authorities said. At about 10:50 a.m. the Delaware County 911 Center received multiple reports of trees down on campers at multiple locations with an individual trapped at the Russell Brook Campground in the Town of Colchester. Carol E. Luistro was inside of her camper when it was struck by a fallen tree, pinning her underneath it, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, Colchester police said. A 42-year-old New York woman has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in trying to find her. Gabrielle B. Becker was last seen in her Delaware County hometown of Roxbury (outlined in red in the image above) on Friday, Nov. 24, according to New York State Police. As rounds of showers and storms sweep through the region, a Tornado Watch has now been issued for parts of New York. The watch is in effect until 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7 in the counties shown in yellow. A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to prison after admitting he had sexually abused a child under the age of 11. Orange County resident John Olson, age 60, of Warwick, was sentenced to six years in prison followed by 10 years of post-release supervision, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Olson was sentenced on Tuesday, March 7, after admitting that he attempted to engage in sexual intercourse with a person less than 11 years old and subjected a person who was less than 11 years old to sexual contact, Hoovler said.
