19: Bill Would Allow Businesses To Perform Temperature Checks
Legislation has been introduced in New York that would allow businesses to take the temperatures of employees, customers, and vendors before entering their premises. State Sen. David Carlucci, who represents parts of Rockland and Westchester counties, has proposed the bill that permits non-invasive temperature taking at business entryways and allows businesses to take corrective action to remove individuals with a temperature above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit. Not so fast. Simon Property Group is now hitting the brakes on any potential openings of some New York malls on Saturday, May 16. An upstart 22-year-old from the area announced his intention to run for the New York State Senate. Rockland resident Matthew Weinberg, a Republican, is the latest candidacy to throw his hat into the ring for the New York State Senate District 38 seat that has been held by Democratic Sen.
