Personal information of millions of AT&T customers was posted to the dark web in a major data breach announced by the telecom company Saturday, March 30. A Utah man has admitted to paying thousands of dollars worth of Bitcoin to arrange for the murders of two New York residents. Christopher Pence, age 43, of Cedar City, Utah appeared in Albany federal court on Wednesday, Dec. 6, and pleaded guilty to using the internet to solicit and pay for murder. According to prosecutors, Pence admitted to contacting the administrator of a website dedicated to arranging contract killings in 2021. NY School District Victim Of Ransomware Attack
Files stolen from a New York school district have reportedly been posted on the dark web following a ransomware attack after hackers did not receive ransom payments. A Westchester County man has been apprehended on child porn charges. The FBI Westchester County Safe Streets Task Force says the man downloaded and distributed child pornography from a network used on the Dark Web. Agents arrested Michael J. Facelle on Tuesday, July 20, at his home in White Plains. 267M Facebook Users Had Names, Phone Numbers Leaked On Dark Web
Hundreds of millions of Facebook users’ data has reportedly been leaked to the dark web, according to a new report. Comparitech and security researcher Bob Diachenko reported that he found a database containing 267 million Facebook user IDs, phone numbers and names that were left exposed on the dark web for anyone to access without password protection or any other authentication. In total, 267,140,436 records were exposed.
