Texas Teen Damages Vehicle In Hudson Valley 'Just For Fun,' Police Say
An 18-year-old jumped on the hood of a vehicle and smashed the windshield at an area sports complex, just for fun, police said.
The incident took place on Saturday, March 26, in Ulster County at the Cantine Memorial Sports Complex in Saugerties.
Saugerties Police arrested Tyler Battros, of San Antonio, Texas, for criminal mischief, and criminal trespass following the incident, said Chief Joseph Sinagra, of the Saugerties Police.

Man From Region Caught Stealing Copper Pipes, Police Say
A man from the region was arrested after allegedly being caught in the basement of a housing complex sawing off copper pipes.
Sullivan County resident Joshua Whidbee, age 44, of Monticello, was nabbed on Monday, Dec. 13, after the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a burglary.
According to Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the Sunny Forest Bungalow Colony on Liberty Road in the town of Thompson.

Area Man Nabbed For Burglary Of Auto Glass Business, Police Say
An area man has been charged with allegedly burglarizing a business and then stealing a car to get away.
Sullivan County resident Trevor Tompkins, age 25, of Monticello, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 29 for the Thursday, Nov. 11 robbery, police said.
According to Lt. Mark Johnstone, of the Monticello Police Department, Tompkins was arrested following an investigation in which he was caught on video surveillance.
The burglary took place around 4 a.m. at the Safelite Auto Glass store at 51 Forestburg Road in the Village of Monticello, Johnstone said.

Police Officer Accused Of Breaking Into Children's Camp In Hudson Valley
A police officer has been arrested for allegedly breaking into and damaging property at a children's camp in the Hudson Valley.
On Wednesday, Sept. 15, the New York State Police in conjunction with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Matthew E. McGrath, age 37, of Middletown in Orange County, for breaking into and damaging property at the Camp Young Judaea on Sprout Lake Camp Road in the town of Union Vale.
McGrath, an officer with the NYPD, was charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of criminal mischief, Trooper AJ Hicks said.
