Burglar Smashes Way Into Capital Region Stewart's Shops, Police Say It didn’t take long for police to track down an accused burglar who allegedly smashed his way into a convenience store in the region. Officers in Saratoga Springs responded to the Stewart’s Shops near Broadway and Circular Street after an alarm was triggered at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 28. The store’s front window had been shattered and there was evidence that someone had gone inside, police said. Man Breaks Into Home, Stabs Resident In Capital Region, Police Say A 48-year-old man is accused of breaking into a home in the region and stabbing a resident. The Saratoga County incident happened Friday, Jan. 12 in the town of Malta, at a residence on Knabner Road. Sheriff’s officials said deputies were called at around 12:45 a.m. for a disturbance call. An investigation found that George Tinoco, of Saratoga Springs, entered the home through a window while armed with a knife. He allegedly then stabbed a woman in her arm. Man From Region Caught Burglarizing Tattoo Shop By Employee, Police Say A 34-year-old man from the region was nabbed after he allegedly broke into an area tattoo studio. The incident took place in Sullivan County in the town of Liberty around 9:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at the City Lights II Tattoo Studio on Route 52. According to Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, the sheriff's department responded to the studio after receiving a report of a burglary in progress.
