Kingston Man Slashes Barber, Cuts Own Throat, Police Say A man from the region is behind bars after allegedly slashing a barber numerous times with a knife and then cutting his own throat on a local street. The incident occurred in Ulster County in the 600 block of Broadway at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in Kingston. According to Chief Egidio Tinti of the Kingston Police, Gunercindo Diaz-Diaz, age 41 of Kingston, was spotted by a New York State Trooper with a knife to his neck on a city street. Bicyclist Struck, Killed By Tractor-Trailer Near Intersection In Area An investigation is taking place after a bicyclist was hit and killed by a tractor-trailer in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Ulster County around 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, in the area of Broadway and East St. James Street in Kingston, police said.
