Crash In Region Sends 1 To Hospital, Police Looking For Witnesses A person was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in a busy Hudson Valley intersection. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 5:50 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, in the area of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road in Orangetown. According to Sgt. Robert Wentland of the Orangetown Police, the victim, a bicyclist, was struck and injured while attempting to cross the intersection of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road. Rockland Paramedic Services and the South Orangetown Ambulance Corps responded to the location to administer medical treatment.  The victim was transported to Nyack …

13-Year-Old Riding Bicycle Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Residential Roadway In Hudson Valley Police are investigating a crash in which a boy was killed on a residential roadway in the Hudson Valley. It happened around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 29 in Rockland County. That's when the bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in the village of Pomona at the intersection of High Mountain Road and Overlook Road. Upon arrival, units discovered the vehicle with the 13-year-old boy underneath the vehicle, said Chief John Gould Jr. of the town of Haverstraw Police Department. Bicyclist Not Wearing Helmet Injured In Crash With Car In Rockland, Police Say A bicyclist not wearing a helmet was hospitalized after being struck by a car in Rockland County, closing down a busy roadway. Police and paramedics from Ramapo responded to Orange Turnpike in Sloatsburg near the intersection of Liberty Rock Road early on Thursday, Aug. 20, when a driver from Sloatsburg struck a bicyclist, police said. The bicyclist was transported to Nyack Hospital by Springhill Ambulance with a head injury.
