A company is recalling eight of its dog food products after discovering that they may have elevated levels of a mold byproduct that could be harmful to pets. Federal health officials are recalling a dog food product that led to the poisoning of more than two dozen pets who died and left several others ill. The FDA issued an alert to pet owners and veterinary professionals regarding certain lots of Sportmix pet food products that could contain fatal levels of aflatoxin, which can grow on corn and grains and poison animals.
