Covid-19: Here's Brand-New Breakdown Of Cases In Sullivan, Ulster Counties

New COVID-19-related deaths were reported in both Ulster and Sullivan counties as the area continues combating more than 2,300 active cases of the virus.

Six new virus-related deaths in Ulster brought the death toll in the county to 163, while Sullivan reported one new fatality this week, as the total rose to 58 since the pandemic began last year.

The Ulster County Department of Health is monitoring 1,957 active COVID-19 cases, up approximately 1,900 from Monday, Jan. 11, while there are 353 active cases in Sullivan, up from 283 earlier in the week.

According to the latest data from the state Department of Health, there were 40 new COVID-19 cases reported in Sullivan in the past 24 hours, with another 74 in Ulster.

A total of 216,741 COVID-19 tests have been administered in Ulster since March, resulting in a total of 7,775 positive cases. Health officials in Sullivan have seen 3,553 confirmed cases out of 68,582 tests.

  • Marlborough: 87 (459);
  • New Paltz: 85 (473);
  • Esopus: 84 (315);
  • Rochester: 78 (198);
  • Hurley: 41 (179);
  • Rosendale: 41 (131);
  • Olive: 32 (91);
  • Marbletown: 27 (112);
  • Woodstock: 24 (114);
  • Gardiner: 21 (147);
  • Shandaken: 18 (54);
  • Out of County: 8 (214);
  • Town of Kingston: 1 (4);
  • Denning: 0 (10).

There have been no reported cases in Hardenburg.

Specific data about Sullivan County municipalities was not available on Jan. 15.

Statewide, a total of 1,183,608 positive COVID-19 cases have been confirmed out of 28.13 million tests that have been administered. There have been a total of 32,379 virus-related deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
