A former New York soccer star and the wife of a college football coach died suddenly at age 30 while pregnant with her first child.
Kayla Saager-Beckley, the wife of Tulsa football assistant coach John Beckley, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, according to an announcement from her alma mater, Binghamton University.

Ulster County Man Found Dead In Creek, Drowning Suspected: Police
A Hudson Valley man found dead in a woodland creek on Monday night, Sept. 14 likely drowned, according to state police.
Owen Garrison, 47, of Highland, was found in Vernooy Kill off Lundy Road in Napanoch around 6:45 p.m., New York State Police announced Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Troopers were called to the scene Monday evening for reports of a possible drowning in the creek, state police said. They arrived to find Garrison, who was pulled from the water by the Napanoch Fire Department and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

The Pennsylvania county where a gunman shot President Donald Trump during a 2024 campaign rally is now at the center of another high-profile federal threat case.
The FBI says it first investigated Jonathan Hunter Kramer in 2023, when he was a minor, before arresting the Butler County man Saturday, Sept. 12, over an alleged ISIS-inspired attack plan.
Kramer, 20, of Valencia, was taken into custody after agents found a semiautomatic rifle, ammunition, loaded magazines, pepper spray, a scope, and other gear at a Cranberry Township hotel, according to a criminal complaint.

Two 24-year-olds from New Jersey were killed after being struck by a subway train in Manhattan early Sunday morning, Sept. 13, authorities said.
According to the NY Post, video shows Navam Kaul, of Sayreville, and Malaika Chitre, of Dayton, sitting on the tracks moments before they were struck by the train just before 3:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13.

‘I’ll Just Have Them Shoot Me’: Ulster Park Man Threatened To Fight State Troopers, Police Say
A suicidal Hudson Valley man who threatened to attack police was arrested for violating a protection order and having guns, authorities said.
Andrew K. Chamberlain, 52, of Ulster Park, was arrested Monday, Sept. 7 at his home, New York State Police said.
Chamberlain initially threatened to attack the police in a call with a local mental health provider, in which he said, “I’ll just have them shoot me," and "I will fight them all,” according to court documents filed by state police.
