1 Killed After House Fire Breaks Out On Long Island One person died in an overnight house fire on Long Island. The blaze broke out at around 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, in Seaford. First responders observed the second floor of the home on Crescent Cove Drive engulfed in flames.  The Seaford Fire Department extinguished the flames, but the residence sustained extensive damage.  An 85-year-old man was removed from the residence and transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after midnight on Tuesday, Oct. 8, by a hospital physician. The man's identity has not yet been released. No other injuries were reported. …

20-Year-Old From Bethpage Accused Of Touching Woman Near School In Seaford A Long Island man has been accused of touching a woman near a local school following a weeks-long investigation. The incident happened on Sunday, June 23, in Seaford. According to Nassau County Police detectives, the woman, age 34, was walking in the rear of 751 Seamans Neck Road when she was approached by the suspect, who inappropriately touched her and fled on foot.  On Monday, Aug. 13, police announced the arrest of 20-year-old Michael Hernandez of Bethpage.
