A suspect is on the loose after a random, Halloween day stabbing attack on Long Island. The incident happened in Central Islip, outside a business on Brightside Avenue near Islip Avenue, shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. Suffolk County Police said a man was sitting in the driver’s seat while parked in a lot outside the Hands Across Long Island mental health services building when a man opened his door and stabbed him with a knife. A teenager has been accused of driving while impairing after a crash on the Long Island Expressway caused an oil tanker to overturn. The incident occurred on Wednesday, October 30, at approximately 1:20 p.m. in Manorville. Austin Richuitti, a 19-year-old from Bellport, was driving a 2011 Cadillac at a high rate of speed westbound on the Long Island Expressway near Exit 69 when he collided with the rear of a 2010 International oil truck, according to Suffolk County Police. A Long Island resident has been accused of intentionally striking another woman with her vehicle. The incident happened around 3:40 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 in North Bellport. Following a dispute between the two in a parking lot, located at 1733 Montauk Highway, Philomena Mistretta, 51, of Coram, got into her 2004 Toyota Sienna and intentionally struck the woman with the minivan. A licensed child therapist from Long Island is accused of sharing videos of child sex abuse, with some victims as young as toddlers.
