Long Island Man Sentenced For Fatal Shooting Of Ex-Fiancée In Parking Garage
A man was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison for murdering his ex-fiancée in an underground parking garage on Long Island. The shooting occurred on March 31, 2022, in the New Hyde Park garage of the medical facility where the victim worked. Quay Sean Hines, age 33, of Bay Shore, was convicted in September of second-degree murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the fatal shooting of 33-year-old Amelia Laguerre.
