A Connecticut financier was killed at an Ireland hotel after he flew from the United States to care for his mentally ill son. Now his son is charged with the assault that killed him, the BBC reported.
New York City resident Henry McGowan, age 30, of Brooklyn, is accused of killing his father, 66-year-old John McGowan, of New Canaan, on Tuesday, Nov. 12, the outlet said.

Fatal Crash: Person Struck By Car On Route 110 In Suffolk County
A person died after being hit by a car overnight on a busy Long Island roadway.
It happened at about 8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, in Melville, on Broadhollow Road (Route 110), between Spagnoli Road and Ruland Road.
A 23-year-old Huntington Station man was driving a 2003 Toyota sedan northbound in the left lane when he struck the man who was crossing the road, Suffolk County Police said.

Therapist Steals Thousands From Children's Counseling Business On Long Island, Police Say
A licensed therapist is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a children’s counseling business on Long Island.
Kimberly Clarke, age 44, of Valley Stream, was arrested on suspicion of grand larceny and related charges on Thursday, Nov. 14.
Nassau County Police said Clarke, a former special instructions therapist at Family of Kidz in Westbury, billed the business for 52 therapy sessions that were never performed.
In doing so, she forged five parent’s signatures a total of 52 times on official Nassau County documents, causing a loss of $2,886, police said.
