The body of Paige Fannon, 35, of West Islip, New York, was located in Norwalk on Thursday afternoon, March 6, police said.

A visitor to Schenck's Island in Wilton called police earlier that day after finding clothing and other personal items on the bank of the Norwalk River. The water was rushing and higher than normal from recent heavy rains.

Police using a UAV found Fannon's body in the water near Main Avenue and Grist Mill Road in Norwalk.

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner will determine her cause of death.

Fannon was reported missing from New York on Tuesday, police said.
