Victim ID'd In Fatal Wrong-Way Crash In Capital Region
A 45-year-old man was identified as the victim killed in a wrong-way, head-on crash in the Capital Region. Jose Holguin, of Schenectady, was killed when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle head-on on Wolf Road in Colonie at 1:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, Colonie Police said. Driver Killed In Wrong-Way, Head-On Crash In Capital Region
One driver was killed and another hospitalized in a wrong-way, head-on crash in the Capital Region. The wreck happened in Colonie, on Wolf Road south of Sand Creek Road, at around 1:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24. A driver was traveling northbound on Wolf Road when they crossed the center line and collided head-on with a southbound vehicle, Colonie Police said. The driver of the northbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver was hospitalized with minor injuries, according to police. Restaurant To Close After 21 Years Flooded With Business In Capital Region
A popular Capital Region Chinese bistro and bakery said they are slammed with orders after announcing the restaurant would close for good next week. Hong Kong Bakery & Bistro in Colonie announced in a Facebook post last week that the owners — Berry Lai and Shu Lam Chan — were retiring and would shutter the eatery on Monday, Aug. 26. Popular Restaurant Chain Closing Capital Region Location After 20 Years
Time is running out to visit this popular restaurant in the region. In Albany County, the Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub is set to close its Colonie location – at 107 Wolf Road – after 20 years in business. The restaurant’s final service will take place Sunday, Aug. 11, a company spokesperson told Daily Voice. Employees are being offered positions at other locations or severance pay.
