Victims ID'd After Double-Fatal Wrong-Way Driver Crash In Region
Two men were killed during a wrong-way driver crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, in LaGrange. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, an initial investigation determined Joseph W. LaFave, age 35, of LaGrange, driving a 2017 BMW X1, traveled north in the southbound lane on the Taconic State Parkway in the area of Todd Hill Road. Man Accused Of Biting, Assaulting Deputy After Crash In Hudson Valley
A man has been charged with allegedly biting and assaulting a deputy attempting to arrest him following a crash in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County, in the town of LaGrange, at around 12 a.m. on Monday, July 29. According to Captain John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, Jordon A. Robin, age 27, of Poughkeepsie, was charged in connection with an auto accident investigation and subsequent assault. Hudson Valley Man Charged With Burglary Of Business
A man from the region has been charged with the alleged burglary of a business that caused extensive damage. Dutchess County resident Konrad Gumper, age 46, of LaGrange, was arrested early Thursday, June 7, in connection with a burglary at Vale Fox Distillery on Noxon Road in LaGrange. According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office deputies located Gumper on the premises when he fled on foot, and an area search was conducted.
