School Bus Crash Injures 2 Students In Hudson Valley Two students were injured in a crash involving a school bus in Sullivan County. It happened in the hamlet of Rock Hill, on Highway 17 near Bridgeville Road, at around 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27. A bus operated by Rolling V Bus Corporation was carrying two Liberty Central School District students, as well as students from other districts, when the bus was involved in a crash, the district said. Drunk Driver Plows Into State Police Car, Van During Hudson Valley Traffic Stop, Police Say Two New York State Troopers and two civilians were injured when an alleged drunk driver hit the back of a troop car while conducting a traffic stop. The incident occurred last week in Ulster County in the town of Lloyd, said Troop F officials. The collision caused the patrol car to hit the vehicle they had stopped, leaving two civilians and two troopers with minor injuries. 2 People Rescued After Cars Crash, Flip Into Swift Water Below Taconic Parkway Two people had to cross a ladder over fast-moving water to get to safety after their cars crashed and overturned next to a stream during heavy rain in Northern Westchester.  The rescue happened on Sunday, Aug. 18 at around 4:30 p.m., when two vehicles crashed and flipped on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown, eventually ending up in a stream 100 feet off the road, according to the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department.  Because of heavy rain that had just passed through the area, the normally small stream had turned into a "swift water scenario," the department said, …

Cave Rescue: 20-Year-Old Pulled To Safety After 5-Hour Operation In Capital Region A young explorer has some dedicated search and rescue crews to thank for pulling him to safety after he became trapped inside a popular cave in the region. The Albany County incident happened Sunday afternoon, June 30, in the town of New Scotland at the Clarksville Cave. Sheriff Craig Apple said a 20-year-old man entered the cave with a group of friends from Queensbury in Warren County, but when he tried to exit, he became stuck.
