Man, Woman Face Host Of Charges After Police Pursuit In Region A man and a woman were nabbed after a pursuit with New York State Police in the Hudson Valley on a host of charges, including allegedly possessing illegal weapons. The incident began in Westchester County at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, when troopers attempted to stop a 2021 Nissan Sentra on I-87 in the village of Ardsley and ended in Rockland County in Nyack when the vehicle was stopped by the Orangetown Police on Route 59. Dealer Selling Near Entrance To Schools In Region Busted By Drug Task Force: Police An alleged drug dealer was busted at his home steps away from two schools selling fentanyl and crystal meth in the region. Dutchess County resident William Frenza, age 59, of Pawling, was charged on Wednesday, Nov. 6, during a warrant search of his home by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force. School Bus Goes Up In Flames In Region A busy road in the region was temporarily closed as crews battled a school bus fire.  The blaze happened on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 7 in Northern Westchester County when the bus caught on fire in Valhalla on Grasslands Road (Route 100), according to the Valhalla Fire Department. Luckily, no students were aboard the bus at the time and no injuries were reported. The blaze was quickly put out and the bus was removed from the road, the department said, adding that the roadway was then reopened to traffic.

2 Women Hospitalized After Crash Near Shopping Center In Region Two people were injured in a two-car crash in the region. The collision occurred in Dutchess County around 2:45 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, on Route 9 at the intersection of Galleria Drive near the AT&T store and Vitamin Shoppe in the Town of Poughkeepsie. According to the Poughkeepsie Police, a 2016 Honda sedan, driven by a Poughkeepsie woman, was heading northbound on Route 9 when it collided with a 2013 Audi sedan. Sean Fitzgerald of the Poughkeepsie Police, a man in his 50s, was found stabbed and bleeding at the park by responding officers. 3 Hospitalized After House Fire In Region Three people were rescued from a burning Hudson Valley home and hospitalized, firefighters said. The blaze happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, Nov. 5 just after midnight, when flames went up on a home's porch in the Lake Secor area of Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department.
